The Horus Heresy was the greatest civil war in the history of the Imperium of Man. It began in the late 30th millennium, when the Warmaster Horus Lupercal, the most trusted of the Emperor's sons, turned against his father and led a rebellion of Space Marines against the Imperium. Horus was joined by many of his fellow Primarchs, the genetically-engineered leaders of the Space Marines, and together they fought a bloody war against the loyalist forces of the Imperium.

The Horus Heresy was a cataclysmic event that nearly tore the Imperium apart. It is a story of betrayal, treachery, and heroism. It is a story of the rise and fall of the Primarchs, the greatest warriors in the galaxy.

The Primarchs

The Primarchs were created by the Emperor of Mankind as his instruments of conquest. They were genetically-engineered to be the perfect warriors, and they were each given command of a Legion of Space Marines. The Primarchs were the Emperor's greatest creation, and they were destined to lead the Imperium to glory.

However, during the Horus Heresy, many of the Primarchs turned against their father. Some, like Horus, were corrupted by Chaos, the dark powers of the warp. Others, like Angron, were driven to betrayal by their own personal demons. Still others, like Fulgrim, were simply seduced by the promise of power.

The Horus Heresy

The Horus Heresy began in the year 005.M31, when Horus Lupercal, the Warmaster of the Imperium, turned against his father, the Emperor of Mankind. The Aftermath of the Horus Heresy

The Horus Heresy ended in the year 014.M31, with the defeat of Horus and the loyalist victory at the Battle of Terra. However, the Imperium was forever changed by the war. The trust between the Emperor and his sons was broken, and the Imperium was divided.

In the aftermath of the Horus Heresy, the Imperium was reorganized. The Space Marines were divided into smaller Chapters, and the Primarchs were scattered across the galaxy. Some Primarchs, like Roboute Guilliman, remained loyal to the Imperium and continued to fight for its cause. Others, like Horus and Angron, were killed in the war. Still others, like Magnus the Red and Lorgar Aurelian, were exiled from the Imperium and became leaders of their own factions.

The Horus Heresy is a story that continues to be told and retold in the annals of the Imperium. It is a story of betrayal, heroism, and the indomitable spirit of mankind.
